Two months ago I started my new project. I have always been a fan of so-called indie games - games that are created by individual and independent developers. I think these games often have a special charm, which is why I love them so much.
That was also the reason why I decided to buy the domain indiegames.de, which was for sale at the time. That was a few years ago now and at the turn of the year I finally launched the corresponding website.
How do I envisage the site in the future?
At the moment, there is only a rather simple website at indiegames.de. That is intentional. First of all, I want to gain trust in Google with relevant contributions. I often do that and after a few months you can see whether a website has potential or not.
However, I am already planning further and would like to found a German-speaking indie games community. My impression is that there is definitely still room for this in the New territory Internet. Therefore, I have already created a forum with the help of Xenforo (my favourite forum software) and mainly use the start page as a news and contribution portal.
How well is the site visited?
As already mentioned, the site has existed for exactly 2 months now. So far, I have hardly done any advertising for my indie games community. At the beginning, the site should grow slowly and only when there is some content, I plan to do more advertising.
Nevertheless, a clear trend in visitor numbers can be observed.
In the last 28 days, the site had 139 visitors. This is an increase of almost 20% compared to the previous month.
I am definitely satisfied with this and will continue to work on the project.
